7 Holy Grail Items

Hey everyone!

Today’s post is all about my holy grail items for skin, make-up and hair! Hope you enjoy..

Collection Lasting Perfection

Who doesn’t love this concealer??! I cannot do my makeup without it and I also love the colour correcting ones. I have no more to say on it as you’ve probably heard it all before but I love it. You need to buy it and it is a staple in my makeup bag.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

I love this powder for setting my foundation when I’m not baking (which is 99% of the time). I also love this powder as although I use it mainly for setting, it also has good coverage if I want a lighter foundation day. Most people use a translucent powder to set their make-up but due to my skin I need the extra coverage!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer

I am obsessed. It creates the perfect contour for me and is just a dream to blend out. I’ve tried other contour powders and creams but nothing compares to Hoola. Its quite pricey (£28 I think) but it lasts AGES and here’s a tip – buy yours at the airport, I paid £20 for this! You can see how long it lasts – I’ve had this for 6 months and wear it whenever I wear makeup and it looks virtually brand new! It’s worth investing in I think.

Benefit Goof Proof brow pencil

In all honestly, all of Benefit’s eyebrow products are my holy grail! In my collection, I have Goof Proof, Gimme Brow, Ka-Brow, Ready Set Brow and High Brow from their last release and I use a combination of them all to get my perfect brow. I love Goof Proof as I can use it lightly when I just want to fill my brows in, or use more for a more full face makeup look. If you haven’t tried it, you need to!

Unique1 Hair Spray

I wa introduced to this spray when my Auntie opened her hair salon about 5 years ago and ever since, I have not gone a day without it. As it says, it is an ‘all in one’ treatment where it aims to fight 10 different hair issues from frizz and detangling to caring for your split ends and a heat defence spray. I save so much money as I have 10 products on one and that, is ideal! It also comes in a coconut scent and I love that for summer.

The Body Shop Tea Tree 3-in-1 Face wash, Scrub and Mask

This has saved my skin. Thanks to my PCOS, I get quite bad spots when I’m off my pill and this wash keeps them at bay. Now my skin is better – not perfect, I don’t think it ever will be – I use this along with the Simple face wash, as the tea tree can be quite harsh if I use it twice a day, every day! But when my skin is bad, it clears it up within a few days and I finally feel like I’ve found the product for me, just 8 years too late!

Vaseline Lip Balm

Normally I have this lip balm in a stick but it can’t find it anywhere – its probably in a random bag knowing me but I love using this on my lips. I’m allergic to Shea butter, which is found in 99% of moisturising products (cry) so there is little choice for me in the lip balm section. I use the vaseline every day to keep my lips hydrated – especially in cold weather and it also has SPF 15 in it and I’m all about the sun protection! It can get greasy but I’m used to it know and I love me a good moisturised lip!

What’s your holy grail item?

I don’t do my brows with anything else and haven’t done since they released the collection! You need to try hoola, it’s matte so is also good for fair skinned! That’s ok x

I’ve bought so many Rimmel Stay Matte powders in my life, I have one in every handbag I own and in the clutch bag I go out with and in my makeup draws – I just never want to be without it! 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Reading this post was like looking through my own make up drawers! I completely agree with the Collection concealer and Rimmel powder they’ve been my go to products for so many years that I don’t remember using anything else! I also love The Body Shop Tea Tree range the toner is my favourite though! Never tried the Benefit products but I’ve heard such good things about them!

I adore the the body shops tea tree range, it’s so bloody good for keeping clear skin! I must say the 3 in 1 was a bit too strong for my skin but I love the overnight mask and the anti-imperfection solution. And yaaaas about the collection concealer, such a brilliant one for coverage! Although I have found recently it’s not been too great for my skin and giving me breakouts, I’ve switched over to the new Makeup Revolution one and it’s really helped!

It’s so good, I’m so glad I found it! I’ve not tried the mask but I love the solution too! That’s such a shame! I’ve heard good things about the MUR one, I should really invest! Xx

I’m also a big fan of the Collection concealer, I recently just bought it in their new lightest shade (something along the lines of “Very Fair” cause I’m pale af). I think my holy grail item has to be the Nyx cream contour/highlight duo stick – I don’t use the highlight so much, but the cream contour is AMAZING and I don’t think I’d ever use another product other than this one again!

Yeah I saw that they had a new shade out which I thought was really good for them to expand! I would love a contour stick as I just contour with powder atm which is ok but would love to try cream contour! Might have to try this one, thanks for the recommendation! X

You definitely should, it’s so soft and easy to blend, I’m almost finished my current one and will be repurchasing for the 3rd time!

I have the Collection concealer, and honestly it’s a GOD SEND! Their products are actually so decent for how cheap they are! I’ve also used the Hoola bronzer before and I really loved that. I really like Benefit’s products, but it’s a shame they aren’t cheaper! Have you tried their highlight? It’s what I use and I love it 🙂

I can’t live without it 😂 that’s true, such a good drugstore brand! I know, I wish they were cheaper! Erm I’ve tried high beam and watts up and liked them but not anything else! Thanks for commenting x

I’m not a huge makeup person but I do really love to do my brows. I used to use the Maybelline eyestudio brow pomade but now I’m loving NYX precision brow pencil because it’s angled rather than pencil shaped so It’s so much better to apply, but now I want to try Benefit, thanks for the recommendation!

Nothing beats a good brow 🙌🏼 goof proof is angled too so that really helps but the NYX pencil sounds like a drugstore alternative! That’s ok, thanks for commenting! X
